To ‘my’ newborns, my tiniest Clients,
This is probably the hardest post I have ever had to make. In fact, it has been sitting unfinished on my desktop for months, after sitting un-started in my heart for probably a couple of years. It is not a post that I ever imagined writing when I first picked up a camera all those years ago.
For almost ten years, I spent most of my photography career snuggling tiny newborns. This was my happy place. Where the world faded away, and it was just these tiny little beings, a warm room, dim lights and my most loved shusher. These sessions were a retreat from a busy day to day life, and never felt like work. But as with life, the seasons change, and I find that it is time to say goodbye.
I want to thank each and every Client who trusted me with their tiny babes.
You will never know how truly honoured I am to have photographed your families at such a monumental time in your lives. The trust you placed in me has never gone unnoticed. Thank you, for helping me make my dream come through.
But now, it is time to move on. To continue my journey in a direction that will allow my creativity and inspiration to grow and flourish yet again, but differently. I am so excited for the next chapter, and have nothing but gratitude for the tiny Clients who first drew me into the world of photography.
Although Newborn Photography is no longer a service I will offer, I still welcome my Families and Cake Smashers with open arms.
