I believe it was right before this little guy’s session that we found out we are having a boy of our own.  Since we already have a spitfire of a little lady, we’ve been told many times that we will have a Million Dollar Family.  My husband is ecstatic that he’s having a son, and giving his parents their first (and hopefully only) grandson.  I’m just waiting for the million dollars.  😉

 

Having had a few more newborn boys to snuggle this ‘spring’, I’ve realized one thing: diaper changes with a boy are definitely different than diaper changes with a girl.  I’ve never been peed on so often during sessions.  Looks like I have some learning to do when my own comes!

If you asked me ten years ago, this is a post that I absolutely, adamantly, would never ever write. Full stop. But seasons change, forks in the roads come, and here I am, ending the year 2025 and my career as a newborn photographer in one fell swoop. I am *not* putting my camera down altogether, just making official what has been for at least the past year: come the strike of midnight, my newborn journey est fini. Thank you to everyone who trusted me with their tiny newborns. I appreciate you more than you will ever know. And to end, I leave you with a tiny amount of behind the scenes that I took and never posted, because I suck at social media. That is a story I just can’t seem to finish.
